SENIOR RAIL OPERATIONS ANALYST

The candidate must possess solid knowledge of electrical engineering (microprocessor controls, networking, RF communications, solid state power conversion, electric machinery fundamentals, basics of power circuits, etc.) and familiarity with most other aspects of electrical engineering; design and test background in the wireless/wired network implementations, infotainment systems; and/or other related disciplines is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop technical requirement specifications for electrical/electronic equipment. Review equipment design documentation and prepare detailed descriptions of review findings.  Participate in formal design review meetings and technical working sessions with equipment suppliers. Inspect and review prototype and first article equipment and prepare detailed descriptions of review findings. Participate in quality assurance and manufacturing audits. Review procedures for and witness component and system qualification testing, including functional, environmental, performance, EMC, and system integration tests. Evaluate as-built performance of electrical/electronic components and systems on board of the rail vehicle. Forensic investigation of failed components and equipment and reporting findings.

Travel throughout NYC area is required, as well as some long distance and international trips.
